Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Department of Probability & Statistics during All Gaucho Reunion Weekend!
Friday, October 16th from 11:30 - 1pm in Mosher Alumni Hall
The luncheon program will feature Professor Sreenivas Jammalamadaka who had a major role in founding the Deparment by bringing together various components of statistics on campus. He joined the Math Department in 1976, almost exactly 50 years ago! He will briefly describe how we came to be and where we are now. Following Professor Jammalamadaka's remarks, Dr. Annie Qu will give a brief talk on "Statistics, AI, and Our Next Chapter at UC Santa Barbara." Join us to celebrate our 40th anniversary!
