Assistant Professor Mengyang Gu has been selected as the winner of the 2022 SIAG/UQ Early Career Prize by the Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics Activity Group on Uncertainty Quantification.

This Prize is given out every two years to one individual in their early career for outstanding research contributions in the field of uncertainty quantification. Dr. Gu's citation reads "for contributions to the analysis and estimation of Gaussian process emulators." As part of the award, Dr. Gu will deliver a plenary lecture at the upcoming SIAM Conference on Uncertainty Quantification UQ22 taking place in Atlanta, GA, from April 12 – 15, 2022.
