Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences

QMSS Overview

The department participates in the Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) interdisciplinary PhD emphasis. The QMSS emphasis offers students an opportunity to apply cuting-edge statistical techniques to research in social science research including anthropology, communications, education, geography, political science, psychology, or sociology. The QMSS curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad interdisciplinary perspective on the use of quantitative methods in the social sciences.

We encourage any students interested in interdisciplinary quantitative research in the social sciences to consider an emphassis in QMSS.
