The UCSB Statistics Department sponsors the Actuary Club for the benefit of those students who are studying for the Actuarial exams. The Actuary Club not only organizes study groups to prepare for exams, but also offers a library of study materials available for loan.

Calendar of Activities for 2007-2008

Jan 23rd: First Actuarial Club Meeting for Winter Quarter. This is a great time to ask questions about examinations and the career. South Hall 5607F(Sobel room) at 12:00pm.

Feb. 6th: Pacific Care insurance company information session, SH 5607F at 11am-1pm.

Feb 15th: Career Center will be helping students write resume-5:00pm-6:00pm

Feb 16th: Career Center will be helping students with interview skills -2:00pm-3:00pm

Feb. 26th: Farmers Insurance, SH 6635(Math department seminar room SH 6th floor) 2pm-3pm.

March 5th: Oliver Wyman, will be on campus in the career center conducting interviews. Please sign up for interviews through Gaucho Link.

March 7th: Farmers Insurance will be conducting interviews in the career center. Please sign up for interview through Gaucho Link.

March: Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has an internship available for summer. Sign up before the end of the march. Information is on flier.

May 13th-19th: Exam P/1, Probability(only CBT testing available). Register before March 20th.

May 28th-June 3rd: Exam 2/FM Financial Mathematics(only CBT testing available). Be sure to register before April 1st 2008.
