Broida-Hirschfelder Fellowship:
$8,000 Stipend
Dissertation fellowship:
$5,000 plus fees and health insurance for one quarter
Graduate Research Mentorship Program:
$15,000 plus fees and health insurance for one academic year
President’s Dissertation Year Fellowship:
$15,000 stipend, plus a $500 research allowance, and payment of fees and
health insurance. Students also receive a travel allowance for a required
presentation of their research at another University of California (UC)
campus.
UCSB Affiliates Dissertation Fellowship:

Science and Engineering Research Grant Program:
$2,000

Ellis
R. Ott Scholarship for Applied Statistics and Quality Management
Deadline: April 1
Scholarship recipient must be a student who is planning to enroll or is
currently enrolled in a master’s degree or higher level US or Canadian
program that has a concentration in applied statistics and/or quality
management.
FTC
Student Scholarship
Deadline: September 10
The Statistics Division of the American Society for Quality offers up
to 5 grants per year for students who wish to attend the Fall Technical
Conference (FTC). Grants are available for currently enrolled undergraduate
and graduate students of statistics and quality management.

Ph.D. Grants
Deadline: March 1
To encourage graduate students to complete research in topics related
to actuarial science and to pursue an academic actuarial career in North
America upon completion of the Ph.D. degree program.
Casualty
Actuary Society

Trust Scholarship Program
Deadline: May 1
Amount: $1,500
The objective of the scholarship is to further students’ interest
in the property/casualty actuarial profession and to encourage the pursuit
of the CAS designations.
American
Statistical Association
Gertrude
M. Cox Scholarship
Deadline: April 1
Amount: $1,000
The Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship was established in 1989 to encourage more
women to enter statistically oriented professions. Application is limited
to women who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States
or Canada, and who are admitted to full-time study in a graduate statistical
program by July 1 of the award year. Women in or entering the early stages
of graduate training (M.S. or Ph.D) are especially encouraged to apply.

Science Foundation
Graduate
Research Fellowship
The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate
study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees and
is intended for students who are at the early stages of their graduate
study. The Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) invests in graduate
education for a cadre of diverse individuals who demonstrate their potential
to successfully complete graduate degree programs in disciplines relevant
to the mission of the National Science Foundation.

Scholarship and Fellowship Program
The DHS Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for students interested
in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied
to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a diverse
and highly talented science and technology community to achieve the DHS
mission and objectives. Areas of study that are eligible include: physical
sciences, mathematical sciences, computer and information sciences, life
sciences, social sciences, psychology, and engineering.

National
Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship
Deadline: January 7
NDSEG Fellowships are intended for students at or near the beginning of
their graduate studies in science or engineering. NDSEG Fellowships will
be awarded on the basis of academic and overall ability in the areas of
interest to the DoD. The evaluation of applicants is based on review of
their academic records, personal statements, recommendations, and Graduate
Record Examination (GRE) scores.
The
Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Deadline: November 7
Amount: $20,000 and a grant for half of your tuition cost
The Fellowships are grants for up to two years of graduate study in the
United States. The recipients are chosen on a nationally competitive basis.
Thirty Fellowships will be awarded each year. The applicant must either
have a bachelor's degree or be in her/his final year of undergraduate
study. Those who have a bachelor's degree may already be pursuing graduate
study and may receive Fellowship support to continue that study. Individuals
who are in the third, or subsequent, year of study in the same graduate
program are not, however, eligible for this competition. Students who
have received a master's degree in a program and are continuing for a
doctoral degree in the same program are considered to have been in the
same program from the time they began their work on their master's degree.

Amount: $1,000 -$5,000
The College Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to
community college, four-year college, and graduate students of Hispanic
heritage. |
