About

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics & Applied Probability at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research focuses on Bayesian inference typically accomplished through computational methods such as Markov chain Monte Carlo and sequential Monte Carlo. My Ph.D. thesis focused on building Bayesian methodologies for nonlinear time series models and applied these methodologies to data from the fields of systems biology, quantitative finance, and disease outbreak detection.
