Textbook

Mathematical Statistics with Applications (7th Edition)  by Dennis Wackerly, William Mendenhall, and Richard Scheaffer.

Exams

Midterm: Thursday, May 1. During the normal lecture time 2:00-3:15.
Final: Tuesday, June 10. 4:00-7:00.

Please mark these dates on your calendar. Make-up exams are only allowed under extreme cricumstances.

Homework

There will be assignments due almost every Thursday. Assignments sheets and solutions will be available online. Solutions will be posted the end of the week when the assignments are due.

The homework problems are often challenging, and you are encouraged to discuss them with your classmates. However, it is expected that when you write your solutions, they be entirely your thoughts.

Late assignments will not be accepted, but you will be allowed to drop your lowest homework from the final average.

Grading

The grades will be calculated according to Homework: 35%, Midterm: 25%, Final Exam: 40%.
